The actual age of the universe
The discovery of the expansion of the universe achieved by the astronomer Edwin Hubble at 1929, was based on the red shift of the faraway galaxies, red shift occurs when an object is receding far away from an observer,
"Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported: Hamzah bin 'Amr Al-Aslami asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) about Fasting on a journey, and he (the Prophet) said: If you wish to fast do so, and if you prefer to break your fast you may do so." (Muslim)

YAQUB IBN ISHAQ AL-KINDI (800-873 A.D.)
Introduction

Abu Yousuf Yaqub Ibn Ishaq al-Kindi was born at Kufa around 800 A.D. His father was an official of Haroon al-Rashid.Al-Kindi was a contemporary of al-Mamun, al-Mu'tasim and al-Mutawakkil and flourished largely at Baghdad. He vas formally employed by Mutawakkil as a calligrapher.On account of his philosophical views, Mutawakkil was annoyed with him and confiscated all his books.These were, however, returned later on.He died in 873 A.D. during the reign of al-M'utamid.

The Quran gives a description of how God Almighty created the universe. In one such statement the Quran, in the chapter entitled Al-Sajdah (Prostration), tells us that God created the Universe in six days: "It was God who created the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in between in six Days, and then He established Himself on the throne. You have no patron or any intercessor besides Him. So will you not pay heed?" (32:4)

Joseph(P), Moses(P) And The Rulers Of Egypt
This article is about the usage of the term for the ruler of Egypt during the time of Joseph(P) and Moses(P) in the Qur'an. During the time of Joseph(P), the ruler of Egypt is addressed as King (Malik, in Arabic). And during the time of Moses(P), the ruler is called the Pharaoh (Fir'awn, in Arabic). This usage is consistent through out the Qur'an.
